Business and Marketing Assistant

The Practice for Women is a feminine yoga and movement experience that helps you tap into your inner wisdom and deeper truths. It’s a practice that holds space for the whole woman and allows us to heal through connection and sisterhood. We offer 10-week programs, high level immersions, and teacher trainings. The Practice for Women is also a social and community space. We are building a Co-Working Sisterhood for entrepreneurial women to gather together in community, support each other in our gifts, and help each other rise in our passions. Our overall mission is to help women see their value and understand that sisterhood and self-love are the medicine we need right now in these troubling times. We have a thriving, authentic community of women that meet in our space.

We are looking for someone business-focused and heart-centered to join our team as our new office, sales, and online marketing assistant. This person is very important to the day-to-day operation of our business. She is responsible for driving sales and overseeing the execution/implementation of key business initiatives. Her main focus will be to oversee the day-to-day activities of our center to ensure our customers and members are consistently treated to an impeccable customer service experience, and that the operations run smoothly, efficiently and profitably.

Reporting to The Practice Founder, this role is a proxy for her direction of The Practice. The Business and Marketing Assistant’s job is to implement the ongoing vision and mission of The Practice and to continue and uplevel the client’s experience.

In addition, the Business and Marketing Assistant has the responsibility for managing social media, email marketing, and CRM software. Duties and tasks include:

Client Relations

  • Manage day to day client interactions via both phone and email. Check emails and phone messages daily.
  • Respond to customer inquiries or complaints.
  • Send reminder notifications and follow up with clients through email and phone.
  • Enroll clients in programs and assist in any technical help clients may need.

Software and Tech

  • Manage and maintain CRM database.
  • Set up Nexodus Software (our new Co-Working Management System) and integrate with Emma, our online email marketing platform.
  • Set up email drip campaigns through Emma, our email marketing program.
  • Send regular weekly emails through email campaign system.
  • Website/WordPress maintenance.

Sales and Marketing

  • Sell services and memberships and enroll clients in person and on the phone.
  • Assist in developing or implementing marketing strategies.
  • Post and maintain regular Facebook and Instagram posts following the founder’s direction.
  • Write and send regular follow up emails to clients.

Event Management and Coordination

  • Assist in planning events and special workshops.
  • Assist renters and help coordinate studio and office rental schedule.
  • Occasionally attend events to assist with setup and client care.

In House Domestic Duties

  • Inventory products and order new supplies.
  • Keep an eye on the space to be sure all office and kitchen supplies are stocked.
  • Direct facility maintenance or repair.
  • Monitor and ensure that facilities are in working order, including computers and other technology.
  • Water plants, keep the space in order, and fix and replace items as needed.

Required Experience

At least two years managing a center in a similar spa, wellness, or retail industry. Must be warm, friendly, grounded, and a strong and effective leader. Someone who can take ownership of her position and help the business grow, plus relate to and connect with our clients. Experience in CRM software management and email marketing platforms such as Ontraport, Active Campaign, Mail Chimp, Emma, and Nexodus, is a must. Must be tech saavy and have experience with online marketing through email campaigns and social media. Must be ready to get your hands dirty, research, learn, and try new things. We are looking for someone aligned with the overall mission and vision of The Practice, and someone who understands the importance of self-care, sisterhood, and developing a culture based on trust, support, and care. You must love supporting a community of women and feel inspired to be a part of a heart-centered community.

This position involves working closely with Michelle, the Founder of The Practice. You will essentially be her right-hand. We are looking for someone that can work independently and loves to collaborate and work under some direction. This position is for someone who is very organized, can use Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Sheets, Trello, and other software. Must be hard-working, dependable, and able to work flexible hours. Some hours may be done at home.

Salary

The Practice offers a competitive salary with attractive bonuses.

Hours

This is a part-time position starting around 12-15 hours with the space to grow to 20-25 hours/week in the Fall. Most hours will be at The Practice, some hours can be done at home.
